Gorgeous book, flawless condition
Amazonâs packaging when it comes to books is always totally abysmal, but this one managed to reach me in perfect condition.Itâs bigger than I thought! It has a gorgeous glossy cover, and all the artwork is stunning. It isnât Udonâs BEST art book, as the formatting seems sort of slapped-together with imagery on plain white or black backgrounds without any additional text or details. Thatâs really the only critique I can think of. I absolutely love the book, and I think itâs a must-have for any big fan of Elden Ring.

Let Down
To say Iâm let down is an understatement. There is zero commentary or any text in this book. The cover is beautiful foil and the paper heavy, high quality, but thatâs the end of the positives. The images are so dark and washed out, you canât enjoy (see) them. Many images are split by the spine, totally ruining their impact. The lands between are somber, but rich with vibrant color. Did an editor even look at this book before printing? I cancelled my order for volume II.

Vast collection of art but uncredited, lacking description, poorly formatted, and too dark overall.
I waited nearly a year for these to arrive, and when they did I was pretty let down by what seems to be a bare minimum effort. The 3 main issues, as stated by many other reviewers, are:1. Gutter/Spine of the book splits many of the images. Many of the most important details happen to be in the center, and it appears as if they formatted this book in Adobe Acrobat and didnât bother to consider where the binding would be. The focal point of many of the large gorgeous images is skewed, and hard to read, therefore the image isâ¦well, tarnished. Itâs a real shame because some of these would have been better off just smaller and not split across two pages â a sacrifice in overall size for clarity.2. The darkness. If youâre trying to enjoy this book you really need to be in a well-lit environment â A hospital would be perfect with those fluorescent lights to be honest lol because man so many of these images are super dark, and the details are lost. This seems to not have been considered. Feels like it was all done online, and they didnât do a test printing of it before they just printed the whole lot.3. Lack of information and credits. Zero write-ups or credits for the images is a disappointment. It doesnât seem like they had a lot of pride in the end result of their product, and wanted to meet a deadline or something. Itâs not a thoughtful compendium of art, itâs justâ¦the bare minimum. Maybe Iâm overdoing it on the criticism, but Iâm a pretty huge fan, and this feels sort of disrespectful. That being said â I wouldnât return it, but Iâm glad I got it discounted. The book itself feels well-made. Itâs nice to have and flip through occasionally, but itâs definitely a missed opportunity, and I hope that if they are hired for the DLC Art book that itâs a much more thoughtful publication. I understand that the size of the image makes a difference, and a book has a spine and thatâs just how it isâ¦but thereâs gotta be a better way to format a lot of these images. Other than the formatting issues, itâs a pretty neat collection of art and if you love Elden Ring itâs great to have on the coffee tableâ¦provided you have some hearty high pressure sodium surgical lights above you when you want to catch the details lol.

A Beautiful But Flawed Book
I was one of the lucky ones who received both books in good condition. The pictures are a bit on the dark side but still 100% viewable. I haven’t noticed any blurry pics like some other reviewers have stated. However, there are far too many pics that are split because they cover two pages. Some reviewers have also stated that the book contains simple screenshots, which isn’t true at all. Most, if not all, pics are hand drawn. The cover of the book is glossy and beautiful, and very thick. Page binding is also strong. It is disappointing that the book contains almost zero descriptions, but the sections of the book are labeled and some pics have the location names. This is the same format as the Designworks books minus the artist interviews.Overall, I’m happy with this purchase, especially considering I didn’t pay full price. Is it worth $50? No, but it’s a solid deal at $30.

Beautiful art book, my boyfriend is very happy
Joao Victor Loureiro Rodrigues –

As many other reviews here have said, the book itself is great, but the packaging it was delivered in is clearly not secure enough to prevent damages to the book cover.
